Travertine Pavilion
"A striking, sculptural retail pavilion constructed of raw travertine and solid bronze details."
Designed as a flagship space in Dubai Marina, the Travertine Pavilion is defined by its massive, colonnade-like facade. The exterior columns are clad in raw, unfilled Roman travertine, bringing a tactile depth that contrasts with the surrounding smooth steel-and-glass skyscrapers.
Within the interior, massive cast-glass partitions filter daylight into shimmering water-like reflections across a polished white terrazzo floor. The structural joinery highlights patinated bronze details where materials interface.
Creating an envelope of raw, unfilled stone that acts as a canvas for the changing colors of the coastal sky.
A public commercial space should feel like an sanctuary—a tactile refuge of texture, scale, and light that encourages pause.
